How The Symbols Work In Our Starburst Slot

There are eight different symbols that you will encounter on the reels of Starburst. The first five symbols are gems of varying colours from purple and blue to orange, green and yellow. The latter is the most valuable of all the gems because it can pay out winnings worth 60x your initial stake if you lock in five yellow gems on the same payline.

That’s followed by the lucky red seven symbol, which is a nod to old-school fruit machines which used to sport lucky sevens on their reels. The ‘BAR’ symbol also continues Starburst’s association with classic fruit machine gaming. The BAR symbol is the most valuable base game symbol, worth 250x your stake when you land five on the same payline.

There is also a wild symbol which is only in-play on the middle three reels. Whenever the multi-coloured wild appears it can replace any other symbol on reels two, three and four. It’s also the trigger for Starburst’s main bonus game.

Starburst’s Bonus Features

The Starburst Wilds round is the primary bonus feature here. It is triggered whenever one wild symbol appears on reel two, three or four. The wild expands to fill the entire reel and is locked in place for one free spin of the reels. This gives you a chance to land another wild in one of the other middle reels. If you get lucky and another wild lands on an adjacent reel, this will also lock in place to grant you one more free spin.

This process continues until all three middle reels are fully wild or you don’t land another wild symbol. If you get all three reels fully wild, it’s easier to land the game’s maximum 500x jackpot. This is achieved by landing two reels full of BAR symbols, along with the three reels of wilds.

It’s easy to set how much you want to wager per spin in Starburst. Use the ‘Coin Value’ buttons to toggle up and down. As this slot has ten paylines, you must multiply your chosen coin value by ten to work out how much you’ll be staking per spin.
